The first meeting of the Willi Hennig Society (Hennig I) took place in 1980 at
the University of Kansas, Lawrence. Four years later, the meetings were
held in London, organized for the first time outside the USA
(Hennig IV). Since then, they have been hosted in different countries of the
world, including four continents: Africa, America, Australia, and Europe.
This year, the Instituto de Biología, UNAM, will be honored to host the XXV Hennig
meetings in Mexico. We have selected Oaxaca as the venue city for the meetings
because we would like you to enjoy one of the richest regions of our country,
not at all in terms of money, but rather in terms of cultural and biological
diversity.
