                Jalapa has a small  airport, Aeropuerto El Lencero de Xalapa (JAL), to which several air carriers  and airline arrive (e.g., Aeromar). Nevertheless, schedules to Xalapa airport  are limited. Alternatively, it is possible to arrive in Xalapa bus from Veracruz City  or Mexico City.  Arrival to the " Benito Juarez       International Airport" at Mexico City. Get to  TAPO (Terminal de Autobuses de Oriente), the Western Bus       Terminal.  To get       to “TAPO” bus terminal, make sure to use an authorized taxi buying a       ticket inside the airport. Authorized taxis are safe and have a fix rate.       At the “TAPO” bus terminal there are several lines that go directly from       Mexico City to Jalapa, some of them are even more comfortable than the       airplane (for example “UNO” line), and rates are very reasonable (a one       way ticket to Jalapa in UNO line is $380 pesos, about 24 Euros). You can       check prices and schedules from TAPO to Jalapa,       Ver. and back at  www.ticketbus.com.mx – If you travel during a       clear day, the drive from Mexico       to Puebla passes through spectacular       landscapes, including the tallest mountains of Mexico and interesting arid       landscaping.                 To get from Veracruz City  to Xalapa by bus you can buy your tickets through internet ( www.ticketbus.com.mx). Alternatively,  you can buy your tickets upon your arrival. Normally it is recommended that the  bus ticket is purchased at least one hour in advance. You can check the  schedules through internet ( www.ticketbus.com.mx),  but normally buses departure at 8:20, 9:20, 10:20, 16:30, 18:00, 20:00, 21:30,  and 23:20 Hrs., a one way ticket is currently 205 pesos (about 13 Euros) and  the journey takes about 1hr and 35 minutes.  |
